Jane Norton (AKA Nortz)

I am a Sheffield born artist working mainly in cartooning.
After attending Sheffield College of Art and Design, I worked as a finished Artist at Gerald Ridley Art Studios – moving from there to be the Graphic Artist for Trebor Bassett Ltd packaging department.

Since retiring, I began working in cartoons and now my work is mainly for clients who request a cartoon designed specially to celebrate a friend or relative. The cartoon will include details supplied by the client and can be family ‘in jokes’ or specific events. 
For many of my drawings, I include a large number of events, family jokes etc, in one picture – sometimes including a poem to suit the situation. 

My most recent work has been for The Dry Stone Walling Association who requested cartoons to print on merchandise such as mugs, t-towels and cards.
